Starting a business
That's what they say. You need a lot to start a business. And one of these things is knowing yourself. What kind of person are you?
Let's get into that one. Because a statement like "Know Yourself" isn't enough. That statement has a very important meaning.
There are many different kind of people. You can see it in little kids. Being a kid. That's where it all starts. There you're formed.
There are kids who are leaders. They tell other kids what to do and the other do what they say. No questions asked.
Maybe a kid doesn't do what the leader tells him to do. The leader knows what he must do. He acts and he acts in a very through way.
Next time when he tells the other kid to do something the other kid will do it right away. The other kid knows that there is no way out.
Those are the leaders. But then you have the followers. Those are the kids that do what the leader tells them to do.
The followers have no say. Sure. They can tell other kids to do something. But nobody does what he tells them to do.
All a follower can do is follow orders. No matter how good he is. No matter how much he knows. He can only follow orders.
So we've got the leaders and we've got the followers. But then there's a third category. Those are the kids that are always teased.
Everybody teases that kid. It is as if they have a big sign on their head saying "Tease me". These kid are teased or laughed at.
That's for kids. And then the kids grow up. Do they change? No. The kids stay the same. The personalities of the kids do not change.
When the kids are grown up you still have the leaders, the followers, and those that are teased all the time. There is no change.
They start working. The leaders become boss in no time. The best followers can do is become second in command. They still report to the leader.
And the kids that were teased all the time. They grow up, they start working, and the teasing goes on. Now the teasing hurts them in their career.
A leader or a follower always want to show off. They want to show the people how tough they are. Acting on people being teased all the time is easy.
Now. What kind of person are you? Are you a leader? Are you a follower? Or are you the person that's always been teased?
And how does that effect you if you want to start a business? Must you consider your personality for starting a business?
You bet. You can start different kinds of business. You can start a business on your own or you can work with other people.
If you're a leader you can start a business and work with other people. You have had a good training. You can handle the other people.
If you're a follower then start slowly. Don't start working with other people. Start on your own. Maybe later you can engage other people.
If you're a person being teased all the time then forget about starting a business and working with other people.
These other people will find out what type of person you are. They'll find out in no time. And next they don't listen to you no more.
All the people working for you will do is make disadvantage for you. The disadvantage for you will help them.
They have no consideration for you. Absolutely not. Why should they? Did anybody ever had any consideration for you? No. Everybody was teasing.
Does this mean that you cannot start a business? Oh no. You can very well start a business. Of course you need the right spirit.
But if you as the person being teased all the time want to start a business then pick the right business. Don't work with other people.
You must find a business you can do on your own. Make sure you don't have to work with other people. Keep other people on a distance.
What kind of business could you start? You could start with web site design. That's a business you can do from your home. Alone.
Just go out and find customers. And when you found them, then start working at your own place. Finish the job and go to the next job.
You could even do a job that's respected by everybody. Maybe you start a job as bodyguard. Everybody has respect for a bodyguard.
If you tell people that you're a bodyguard they will back off. They don't want to find out whether you're tough or not.
You can even start being a bodyguard if you don't know how to fight and so. Just have a big mouth. But don't work with other people!
Maybe your business grows a lot. And now you need people. No other way. Well. In that case find people that are close to you.
Find people that never teased you. Maybe the people are family. Give them a job in your business. But never ever engage an outsider.
This is thought I had about starting business and knowing yourself. Maybe you've got a different opinion. I would like to know your opinion.
