Passion of a lifetime for the passionate ones

Gooding & Company rescheduled the most anticipated auction of our lifetime for September 5, 2020. Three classic Bugattis are at stake, and the sale will take place in Hampton Court Palace.
Due to the global pandemic, the auction will be held remotely with a live broadcast on Gooding’s website, YouTube, and other mobile apps.
The three Bugattis being auctioned are the 1934 Bugatti Type 59 Sports, 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante, and 1928 Bugatti Type 35C Grand Prix. All vintage vehicles are from a collection of one of the world’s most prominent collectors. The cars reflect years of passion and dedication. They’ve been perfectly preserved and surely deserve all the best owner and price.
Let’s take a closer look at each.
1934 Bugatti Type 59 Sports
This unique sports car lived a brilliant career with some distinguished achievements. Purchased by King Leopold III of Belgium, he changed its color to black and honored Belgium by adding the yellow strip.
The specs include:
• 3,257 CC DOHC Inline 8-Cylinder Engine
• Twin Zenith Carburetors; Roots-type Supercharger
• 4-Speed Dry Sump Manual Gearbox
• 4-Wheel Cable-Operated Mechanical Drum Brakes
• 250 BHP at 5,000 RPM
1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante
Though perfectly designed, this unique classic car couldn’t have been offered for an extensive production because of its high set doors and split front window. Built on the 57S chassis, the Atalante has some of the most impressive technical specifications.
These include:
• 3,257 CC DOHC Inline 8-Cylinder Engine
• Single Stromberg Carburetor
• Marshall K200 Supercharger
• Estimated 220 BHP at 5,500 RPM
• 4-Speed Manual Gearbox

1928 Bugatti Type 35C Grand Prix
Surely, Bugatti Type 35 is one of the most successful racing cars ever winning multiple Grand Prix races up to 1930. Interestingly, it has had only three owners who valued the car for its amazing specs.
• 1,991 CC SOHC Inline 8-Cylinder Engine
• Roots-Type Supercharger
• Single Zenith Carburetor
• 125 BHP at 5,500 RPM
• 4-Speed Manual Gearbox
• 4-Wheel Cable-Operated Mechanical Drum Brakes
• Front Solid Axle with Semi-Elliptical Leaf Springs and Shock Absorbers
• Rear Live Axle with Reversed Quarter-Elliptical Leaf Springs and Shock Absorbers
Car lovers worldwide await the most anticipated event of this fall. Hopefully, these classics will be appreciated accordingly and become new pieces of pride for leading car collectors.
